CALENDAR Center for Community Counseling’s 2ND ANNUAL The stories begin in a familiar way: Cinderella wants to go to a festival, Jack sells his cow for magic beans, Rapunzel longs after a charming prince who off ers to steal her out of her tower. Where Into the Woods departs from fairy tale, however, is in its exploration of what happens after “ever after,” where there are still consequences for actions. Jack profi ted from slaying the giant, but what does Mrs. Giant have to say about it? Prince Charming married his Cinderella, but what happens when Sleeping Beauty catches his wandering eye? It’s a clever musical with a streak of dark realism, and lucky for Eugeneans, the Actors Cabaret is doing its very own performance.
