Whisk together dry ingredients in a bowl, omitting lavender. Add Earth Balance and cut with pastry cutter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in lavender. Stir in vanilla and milk until you have a soft dough. Roll dough into circle about 1/2-inch tall. Cut dough into eight wedges. Place cut scones onto a parchment covered baking sheet. Owner Thaddeus Moore chose this scone recipe because of the abundance of locally grown, organic lavender. The website allows for ordering from any web-enabled device, and Divine Cupcake has many options for baked goods in addition to cupcakes. “We have scones, muffi ns, cookies, cake truffl e pops, large and small cakes and even pies,” Moore says. Each delicious morsel is free of dairy and eggs. Cupcakes can be made to be free of gluten or wheat, soy and nuts.
