Although they now boast an extensive touring record and monstrous discography, indie rock moguls Tegan and Sara had humble beginnings. The duo found its start in Calgary at the tender age of 15, after the identical Quin twins took fi rst place at a localized battle of the bands. By age 20 they were signed, cut and printed for the world to hear, and the juicy new-wave licks and radical refrains began their evolution toward the Tegan and Sara of today.
