biz beat Hawthorne Deli at 153 E. Broadway has been vacant for a while and we hear a new restaurant, Bon Mi, has opened in the space featuring Vietnamese and French-style cooking. The owner is Yoon Shil and we notice the place is already very busy with the lunch sandwich crowd. A new outdoor market for artisans and farmers opened Aug. 4 at Irvington Grange on Irvington Drive in Santa Clara. Master Development has completed construction of the Park Place Apartments, located at 877 E. Park St. and has scheduled a grand opening at 10 am Wednesday, Aug. 15. Ninkasi is already available in some California areas along with Washington, Alaska, Idaho and Montana. The current 90,000 barrel capacity is expected to grow to 200,000 in late 2013, according to James Book, Ninkasi’s marketing director.
