Bethel FOOD/DRINK Hideaway Bakery Farmers’ Market, 9am-2pm, Hideaway Bakery 3377 E. Amazon. Take the alt-country genre and put an outlaw spin on it, then take 10 paces and draw. That’s about where you’ll meet Whitey Morgan halfway. To go the full distance you’d have to see him on stage, which is an experience ill-suited to anyone who is easily offended. The last time Morgan rolled through town, he almost picked a fi ght with an audience member. There was enough whiskey to do in a horse — both in Morgan and the building, but particularly in Morgan — and enough debauchery to burn down a building. Thankfully everyone came out all right. But hey, there’s always next time, and that next time is upon us. Supported by his band The 78’s, fueled by booze and birthed from the Midwest honky-tonk scene, Morgan is a force of nature that takes to the stage like a natural disaster — in a good way. Anyone who loves country, alt-country, punk rock or attending outrageous performances should keep this show up in their radar. Be prepared for a riot, or at least a very wild time.
