GATHERINGS City Club of For those about to rock — but who missed AC/DC’s Oakland and Tacoma stops on their Black Ice World Tour — a road to hell is coming right down Eugene’s highway. Hell’s Belles, an all- female AC/DC tribute band will stop at the McDonald Theatre Saturday to give Eugeneans a taste of the long way to the top while they rock ‘n’ roll. AC/DC guitarist Angus Young told Blender Magazine in 2003 that the Belles are the best AC/DC cover band he’s seen. And there’s something about a seriously committed cover band that captures a vibe that the whole crowd taps into — a serious power surge when it comes to the energy of AC/DC.
