what's happening Just as Helen of Troy’s beauty has been blamed for dragging Troy and the Greek city-states into battle (and inspired cults devoted to her), cheese makes us — and we deny any personal responsibility — do very bad things. Cheese will continue this tradition of war-mongering when it pits wine against beer at Cheese Wars III Thursday, Jan. 5. Five cheese courses will be paired with a beer and a wine, and tasters will vote for their favorite beverage. Ninkasi brewmaster Jamie Floyd brings the beer, and Brooks winemaker Chris Williams presents the wine. All proceeds from the event benefi t the fi ne folks at Greenhill Humane Society.
