Now Banks is working to fi ght a nationwide killer. In his presentation, “National Indian Health Epidemic,” Banks will talk about diabetes and its effects in Native American communities. The Longest Walk 3 is a project dedicated to changing diet and exercise habits to reduce the effects of diabetes. Banks will also discuss his latest fi lm, A Good Day to Die. The documentary covers the birth of the American Indian Movement, a campaign that began in 1968 in response to the mistreatment of urban Native Americans in Minneapolis.
