S tu d e n ts d o w e ll at c o m p e titio n S andy te a m s pla ce firs t in in d u s tria l a rts Two teams of Sandy High School students finished first in an in dustrial arts skills competition held recently at Cla< kamas Community College Jason Winter and Mike (ejka finished first as a team in an automotive parts competition, and Gary KuLsch and l-eng Tang finish ed first in arc welding Scott Seipert and Mik«- Barksdale finished second as a team in a shop safety com petition, and Kevin Nelson and Walley Gabbey finished second in oxyacetylene welding Historically the metals teams have finished well at the annual competition, but this is the first year an automotive department team has placed, according to I .y nn Sondenaa, industrial technology department chairman.
