SANDY ( O f . ) ROST Thur» Free lunch criteria told by schools School begins Tuesday for most area schools and officials are finalizing last- minute details, including qualifications for free and reduced-price meals for children unable to pay the full price under the N a tional School Lunch Pro gram. The Sandy Elementary D istrict w ill charge 80 ce n ts fo r m e a ls fo r students in grades 141 and 90 cents for students in grades 7 and 8. Reduced p ric e s fo r q u a lify in g students will be 40 cents per meal. In the Welches School District, lunches will be 65 cents apiece, if purchased in books of 28 tickets at a time. Otherwise, lunches will be 70 cents per meal Milk will be 15 cents In the Cottrell School District, lunches will be 80 cents a day for students through fourth grade, S3 pei week or 110 20 a month For fifth through eighth graders, lunches will be 75 cents daily, 83 75 weekly or 812.75 on a monthly basis Application forms for the free and reduced price meals will be distributed to a ll p a re n ts and a re available at school offices In certain cases, foster children are also eligible for the benefits If families Menus Sandy TUESDA Y.
