They moved to Molalla in
1953 where they lived until
his death in 1975

Idaho, and with sons and a
daughter in Salem, as well
as w ith Dempster in Sandy,
and another daughter in
Skagway, Ala.

$126 in pop cans stolen
In Sandy police reports
this week Steven D. Lee, 25,
of 33550 S.E. Colorado
Road, was arrested on Aug.
19at7:30p.m. ona warrant
from Multnomah County
for misuse of a d rive r’s
license. He was also charg
ed with driving with a
suspended license He was
lodged in Clackamas Coun
ty ja il.
On Aug. 23 license plates
were stolen off a vehicle
parked at a residence on
Gerilynn Court. The theft
occurred sometime bet
ween midnight and 2 p.m.
A burglary occurred at
Sandy Sentry sometime
between 10:30 p.m. on Aug.
18 and 7 a m on Aug. 19
An unidentified person,
or persons, broke into an
outside storage building,
attached to the store, and
stole $126 worth of empty
pop cans.
Also under investigation
is a residential burglary
that took place on Pleasant
Street. Radio equipment
was stolen sometime bet
ween 12:30 and 1 a m.

During their second year
in Caldwell the Burns' ex
perienced a growing desire
to return to Ivory Coast. In
order to prepare for a

overseas. Burns sought fu r
ther education.
In 1981 he completed his
masters studies at the
Western Conservative Bap
tist Seminary in Portland
He is currently enrolled in

from the U niversity of
Idaho in Moscow.
While in Ivory Coast,
Burns became aware of the
need for trained church
leaders “ Once I was listen
ing to an Ivorian church
leader as he shared his
desire to evangelize the peo
pie of his town.
