Rosella Hour go, presi dent, Robert Kennedy, v ic e p re s id e n t; K im N e ls o n , re c o rd in g s e c re ta ry ; Chris M a c D o n ald , corresponding secretary, and Lam Staab, treasurer, will be installed at the dinner Becky Rodriguez was named winner of the BPW Recording artist Paul Thorson will perform in benefit concert June 4 at Sam Barlow High School Proceeds from the one time performance will aid the Good Shepher Com munity Church Day School which will open at the new church site on Haley Road in Boring next year Cur rently the church group meets at Barlow The 7:30 p.m concert w ill also fe a tu r e the children who now attend the school with a special song Thorson wrote that has been s p e c ia lly choreographed for them Admission will be 13 scholarship which was presented at the award assembly at Sandy Union High School last week Chris MacDonald was appointed district director of the North Willamette District at the state con vention in Klamath Falls recently, which seven local members attended. Other local appointments announced were Florerce Schmitz, editor of Oregon Business Woman, Political Action Committee. Group earns top honors Members of the Sandy P a th fin d e r C lu b p a r ticipated in the annual Nor thern Oregon Seventh-day Adventist Pathfinder F air May 9 at the Multnomah County Expo Center The a ll-d a y ev en t featured club exhibits, a parade complete with m ar ching units from each club and floats, drill team ex hibitions and contests for club members. More than 1,000 club members and staff par ticipated in the events. Coming from communities as far south as Corvallis, the 45 clubs which par ticipated were eligible for points which ranked them according to achievement for the year’s activities A first-place award was given to the Sandy club for total points accumulated during the year Theme for this year’s fair was **Doing Our Best,” Among contests which m e m b ers p a rtic ip a te d were map symbol iden tification, first-aid bandag ing and camp cooking.
