The n in e -y e a r 4-H member is winner of a $225 O M Plum m er scholar ship. which is given annual ly to a 4-H member who has participated in the Pacific- In te rn a tio n a l Livestock Exposition In addition, she's been nominated for a $1,000 scholarship given through the National 4 H Council by the Educational Founda tion of Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity to a 4-H member who plans to major in agriculture Next fall, Ten Eyck plans to attend OSU to begin a major in agriculture with a minor in communications She want, to help "non farm people understand the special problems and needs of agriculture and why a strong agricultural industry is of benefit to all people.” During her years in 4-H, she has concentrated on a beef project Her beef herd now includes nine Simmen- tai c a t t le , Ward named top mother Kathy Ward of Sandy has been named Pair-A Tykes Mother of the Year for 1982 03. The annual award was presented at a mother- daughter banquet May 4 Ward is the mother of four children, including twins Mike and David, age 19 She also has an older son, Randy, and a younger son, Chris Her husband is Byron Ward is currently serv ing as president of her club and as junior delegate to the Northwest Association of Mothers of Twins Club A member of Sandy 4-H livestock club, she has been a junior leader for five years Got a home im provem ent project in mind? . . .
