J O N E S P ost C orrespo nd ent L a s t T h u rs d a y the H o o d lan d R u ra l F ir e D e p a rtm e n t and the Oregon State Forestry Ser vice fought a brush fire in the Cedar Ridge area near Brightwood At 4:30 p m. that same d ay the d e p a rtm e n t responded to an accident an eighth of a mile west of the M irror luike trail head on Highway 26 A rm introu t said that upon a r r iv a l th ey discovered a vehicle had hit a metal g uard rail, blocking the westbound lane of traffic Both the driver and a passenger w e re p inned in the wreckage.
