tional skills contests, ac

can now take arc welding,
gas welding and a class
called art metal sculpture,
receiving two hours for
each class from Mt Hood
Community College
Sondenaa has been a
p a rt-tim e te a c h e r fo r
MHCC since 1975. and is
certified to teach on both
the high school and the
university level
T a k in g the co lle g e
courses in high school of
fers several advantages
Firs, of all, students will be
ready for interm ediate
level courses if they decide
to continue with their
education
Also, they benefit from a
lo w e r te a c h e r student
ratio
And. the tuition is only
$18. while it would cost $45
to take the same classes on
the MHCC campus "So for
them it's a tremendous
savings." Sondenaa said
