Charles W Baker were
held last Friday in the
chapel of Sandy Funeral
Home. Private interment
was at Cliffside Cemetery
in Sandy
He was born Sept 8. 1919
in Conrad, Mont. He served
in the U S . Navy during
World War II. After his
discharge in 1946, he mov­
ed to Oregon and married
Catherine Muscolo in Van­
couver, Wash
They lived in Portland
where M r Baker worked in
automobile sales. They
later moved to Estacada
where they owned and
operated the Ford dealer­
ship

Baker began working in the
real estate business in
Gresham
After moving to Sandy in
1968, he operated Chuck
Baker Real Estate Co. He
was involved in the forma
tion of the Independent
Bank of Sandy, served as
the first chairman of the
board and had remained a
member of the board of
directors since.
He was an avid sport
sman and enjoyed hunting
and fishing
He died in a Portland
hospital Jan. 19 He was 62.
He is survived by his
wife, Catherine of Sandy,
sons, W illiam Baker of
Gresham and Gary Molen
of Utah; his mother, Mary
C. Baker of Portland, and
three grandchildren
