Sanctification means that Jesus Christ lives in the believer through the Holy Spirit and imparts to him His righteousness. His own life nature and power, or is part of us. (Gal. 2 20) The power of God is infinitely greoter than the power of sin. (Rom. 5:20.21 Rom. 1:16,17; Rom. 8.14.) The Holy Spirit transforms the nature of believer into the likeness of Christ. (2 Cor. 3:18; Phi. 2:13.) The believer dies DAILY to sin. (1 Cor. 15:31.) The believer patakes of the life of Christ daily. (John 6 55,56,63.) The fact that the believer was justified and has faith in Christ does not give him an excuse to continue living in known sin. (Rom 6:1,2; James 2:20,24) Can a justified and sanctified man fall again into sin? The answer is YES. It is due to the cunning temptations of Satan and the weakness of the flesh. There are willful, premeditated transgressions. (Heb 10:26) There are also sins done in ignorance or carelessness. (1 John 1:8:1; Tim. 1:15.) Through carelessness he can fall away from Christ. The unconverted man loves sin and self, while the regenerated man hates his sinful nature and shuns evil. When the believer falls into sin, he confesses his sin to the Lord in deep repentance. (1 John 1:9) The center of his life is JESUS CHRIST, not his ego Sanctificotion is the work of a lifetime.
