4 SANDY (O r* ) POST Thur» Sept Obituaries Dean Anderson Dean LaMarr Anderson of S p ringfield, fo rm e rly of Rhododendron, died at his home Sept 8 at the age of 55 of cancer. Born Nov 30, 1925 in Knox County, Neb . he moved to Oregon in 1946 He moved to Rhododendron in 1972 to become c o n tr o lle r of Timberline lxxlge where he was employed for seven years He is survived by his wife, Phyllis, two sons, LaMarr of San Antonio, Texas, and Bradford of Springfield, a daughter, Ellen Hahn of Story, Wyo.; his mother, A. Leona Anderson of Cor nelius, three brothers, three sisters, and seven grand children. He attended the Assembly of God Church in Sandy The family suggests that any memorial contributions be made to the Memorial Fund, Sandy Assembly of God Church. Isakson died at his home Sept 12 He was 80 He was born Oct. 13, 1900, in Wisconsin and attended school there In 1920 he mov ed to North Dakota where he worked at ranching Later he moved to Idaho where he logged. He moved to Portland in 1930 and began schooling in mechanics The following year, he began working for Consolidated F re ig h t in Portland He continued his education in diesel engine repair which he completed in 1934. He was married Feb 29, 1936, to Anabel M alar, daughter of a Sandy pioneer family They moved to San dy in 1943 Mr Isakson worked at Consolidated Freight until his retirement in 1968 After his retirement, he kept busy working on the farm, south of Sandy. He was a member of Im manuel Lutheran Church and took an active part in the construction of the church building He is survived by his wife; three sons, Curtis and Jerry, both of Sandy, and Jon in Canada; a brother. Palmer in North Dakota, sisters, Leona Gilberts, Goldie Ever son, Caspera Paulson and Dagney Peterson, all in W isco nsin ; six g ra n d children and two great grandchildren Funeral services were held Wednesday at Im manuel Lutheran Church in Sandy Interment was at Sandy Ridge Cemetery The fa m ily suggests memorials be made to Im manuel Lutheran Church Sandy Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements Gertrude Burg For both you and your little ones! Funeral services for Ger trude Inez Burg of Portland were held Monday at the Ross Hollywood Chapel in Portland She died Sept 11 in Portland She was 85 Mrs Burg was born in Minnesota on Oct 6, 1895 She is survived by her son, George of Sandy; daughter G e ra ld in e M yers of P o rtla n d ; seven grand children, and eight great grandchildren. Born April 6, 1968. in Gresham, she grew up in Brightwood and attended Welches School where she had entered the 8th grade She enjoyed animals and had a special love for horses Christy attended church and youth activities at the Chapel of the Hills Com munity Church She is survived by her mother. Cindy Grenvik of Brightwood, father. Marvin Grenvik of Welches, three sisters, Connie VanDerhoff of Portland, and Callesta and Corina Grenvik. both of Brightwood, and her grand mother.
