SANDY (O r* ) POST Thur» July 16 19 8 1 (Sec 2) Parade draws record number of entries The annual Sandy Mountain Festival parade had a record number of entries this year Some 91 entries toured the town as Pioneer Boulevard was packed. Floats, hands, m archers and vehicles of all kinds parade through Sandy led by grand marshal (ieorge Bruns. Bruns wrote musical scores for several Walt Disney movies and received nominations for Academy Awards. He and his wife Dorothy are Sandy residents. The parade lasted 75 minutes, which was also a record, but things ran smoothly for the most part.
