prisoners in state correc
tional facilities before they
have served th e ir fu ll
sentence was opposed by 90
percent of those responding
to a Governor's Listening
Post survey e arlier this
year.
More than 3,200 ballots
were fille d out in the
February survey More than
2,800 respondents opposed
reducint the number of
prisoners before serving full
sentence, while 331 said they
favored the idea

percent, more money being
spent on training facilities
for state correctional institu
tion residents
