Dr Jim W itt, Oregon State
I niversity biochemist and
toxicologist, and Dr Sheldon
Wagner, a toxicologist at
Go<xi Samaritan Hospital in
Corvallis, w ill discuss the
potential medical problems
which arise with continued
spraying of toxic herbicides
Wagner is attempting to
establish a statewide pro
gram for physicians to test
blood levels for damaging
amounts of herbicide in the
bloodstream
Joe Hay, of the State
Highway Departm ent in
Salem, will present a slide
show on that agency's spray
operation
The program w ill be held
from 7 to 9 p m
Conference day set at SUHS
The fourth in a series of
academic conference days
will be held next Monday,
May 4, from 12 noon to 4:30
