Students show skills at meet Sandy Union High School students lar«*d well at tin- re cent Clackamas Regional Skills Contest Feb 26 at Clackamas Community Col lege The school sent more than 7o students Io compete with students from approximate ly lf> area schools in tests of business skills vocational skills, mathematics and ver fial communication The competition was sponsored by CCC and the Clackamas County Education Service District A team of SI US students finished in first place in arc wadding and Jeff Kersting was the top individual in arc welding tor the second year in a row, according to teacher Mike Wright The other team member, Mike Niemeyer, finished in fourth place The oxy acetylene welding team of Troy Bangs and I J Lenchitsky captured second place The machining team.
