The Clackam as County Board of Health w ill meet to c o n s id e r a re s o lu tio n requesting the State Board of Health to investigate Ben n e tt’s A ld er Creek W ater C o m pa ny and ta k e a p p ro p ria te action. The state would have to decide if the com pany’s w a te r was u n sa fe and whether to fo rm a service d is tric t near Sandy. The A ld er Creek W ater Company, made up o f the A lder Creek, C ountry Club, Sleepy Hollow, Barlow and R iversid e w ater systems, has been sued by the E nviro n m e n ta l Protection Agency and the Oregon H ealth D ivision. Both cla im the com pany has produced unsafe d rin k in g w ater. Bennett was restrained fro m operating his compnay in September and a receiver was appointed by the U.S. D is tric t Court.
