This year, the 10,000 meter run will begin at 9 a m at the la k e Oswego Junior High School field The deadline for mail registration has already passed but late registration is being accepted up until one half hour before the race Prior to the run, there will be a relay from Eugene, site of the 1WW) Olympic Track and Field Trials, to Luke Oswego Sandy FF A gamers awards Sandy Future Farmers of America chapter members recently won awards at a C a p lta l-C la c k a m e tte Districts Leadership Camp I hey are Bob Sutton, Charlene Sanders and Wendy Bader. Six members of the FFA chapter attended the camp held at Camp Adams near Molalla. Activities included a “ Get \<<iuainted" campfire and leadership building sessions. Each of five different officers in the chapter attended sessions to learn how, through their respective offices, to Improve the chapter State FFA officers directed the meetings, They Invented Positive Attitude Thinking awards which were presented to the three Sandy members After the officer groins ended, the chapters met to discuss what they had learned and how they could use the knowledge in the future Sandy’s officer team expressed hope that it can encourage its approximately 100 members to follow its examples of leadership to be able to lead themselves to reaching new goals in the coming year.
