Mountain Festival are looking
for community support to make
this year’s festival a reality.
The third annual arts and
crafts event is slated for July 9-
10 atSandy's Meinig Park.
The festival is a non-profit
community
event
financed
entirely by contributions and
fees paid by participating
artists
Although
a
r e la tiv e
newcomer among the many
arts and crafts festivals held
each year, the Sandy Mountain
Festival has grown to be one of
the largest and best attended
festivals in the Pacific North
west.
Last year’s attendance was
at an estimated 35,000 people.

she already has had com
mitments from a variety of
local artists to participate in
the event.

4 cup catsup

1 onion sliced
1 teaspoon salt
4 teaspoon pepper, freshly
ground
1 teaspoon celery seed
Conk meat 30 minutes at 450
degrees Combine remaining
ingredients in saucepan, bring
to a boil Pour sauce over meat.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1
hour Serves 4.

4 cups flour
I teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
4 teaspoon baking soda
Add and stir:
4 pound candied cherries
4 pound candied pineapple
1 4 cups chopped nuts
Shape Into roll about 3 inches
In diam eter Chill overnight.
Slice them and place on
greased sheet
Rich Refrigerator Cookies
Cream:
One and o n e-third cups
shortening
1 cup brown sugar
Two-thirds cup granulated
sugar
Rake at 400 degrees from 5 to
8 minutes Makes 5 to 6 dozen.
