Joe Youngbluth of Sandy is currently secretary of the non profit corporation. Charles Needham of I-ake Oswego was re-elected as president. Mavrabelle Mahan of West Linn was re-elected as vice president and H arley Crockett of Molalla was re elected as treasurer Bertha M itchell was elected as secretary. T heir leader had prepared four short plays and the girls paired off to practice these plays and gather props they would use. After everyone was finished they all enjoyed listening to the recording of their voices. Before adjourning the meeting the girls were served popcorn and Kool-Aid. Members of this group are Wendy Barstad, Mindy Congdon, Jennifer Mann, K ristie M a rk w e ll, Pebbles Moore, Tracie Ruple, Tammy Stalvig, Laura Stringham, Mrs. Sandra Congdon, leader, and Mrs. Leal Markwell, assistant leader. A new third grade Blue Bird group was formed in Sandy recently with M rs. Leonor Sattui as leader and Mrs. Darla DuBois, assistant leader Girls meeting twice a month at their leaders home are Elizabeth Ash. Regina Astleford, Norma Brown. Brenda DuBois, Carrie Leith, Tana Nonamaker, Nicole Nunes, and Christine Sattui. 1400 plus 2 CREATIVE 66 s p/us BSR 260 AX (Gresham only) Boring students know weather If you want to know if it ’s going to rain or snow, what the wind velocity may be, or how much the humidity is these days, you should attend Robert Lundborg’s science class at the Boring Grade School. An actual weather station hangs from the ceiling in L u n d b o rg 's in te re s tin g , spacious classroom. Enterprising students at the school helped pay half of the weather station's in stallation cost by staging candy sales and sim ilar money raising projects. Lundborg’s enthusiastic students have found that there’s more to meteorology than peeping at clouds or poking a thumb up in the air. Their newly acquired labor of love is a daily ritual.
