Hermanson elected County 4-H Mrs Eleanor« Hermanson, SUHS journalism and English teacher, was elected Saturday to the Oregon Council for the Improvement of Instruction, a group formed by the Oregon Education Association The executive council is composed of seven members elected from a 35 member committee of subject m atter leaders m e et Clackamas county 4-H Horse club leaders will meet at 8 p.m September 21 in McLoughlin Hall on the Clackamas Com m u m ty College campus to organize the year’s activities The agenda will include such items as new horse project m a te ria l a v a ila b le , leader training in the county and state, m aterial available for new and prospective leaders. County F a ir, and what's ahead for the 4-H horse project Of the more than fifty 4-H p rojects a v a ila b le to the counties youth, the one in volving horses has proved the most popular both for urban and rural youth Over 800 members and 80 leaders are currently active in the project. Many more are expected to enroll this year according to T. D Zurcher.
