Call 4733 for details...KNIT & BEST WISHES HOODLAND PARK PLAZA DRIVE EXTENDED Although the United Good Neighbors campaign officially ended Nov. 5, local UGN volunteers will continue working for the next few weeks “cleaning up” their portion of the drive, according to Sandy- B o rin g -M o u n ta in UGN chairman Robert 0. Williams. Williams said the local drive has not been extended, but added that it is far from closed, particularly in those areas where campaigns were started, but not completed before the deadline. Adult education classes and athletic groups are now using the premises, along with Scout and 4-H groups. D e v e lo p m e n t of a long-range landscaping program is also current business of the board along with planning the disposal of the old Welches Grade School building. At present legal papers are in preparation for selling the building at a public auction. Further news of this will be published at a later time. Enrollment at Welches is 226 students and five new teachers were added to the staff. They are Mrs. Craig, Miss Boldt, Mrs. Swedenborg, Mrs. Smith and Mr. Casey.
