was introduced only this year
in the firm’s Hillsboro store
and the acceptance exceeded
the most optimistic forecasts.
Edwin Carroll, manager of
the Mali’s Sprouse-Reitz store,
said Lemon Tree fabrics come
from many well known mills
throughout the United States
and feature such upgraded lines
as dacron double knits, wool
and
w o o l b le n d s and
permanent press fabrics.

Birth Announced
Lt. and Mrs. David Hughes
announce the birth of their
first child, William David, bom
July 24 at F.E. Warren AFB,
Wyoming.

McMinnville.

and, according to Hill, “we are
delighted with the reception
we have received from the
people in the area.”
Hill, incidentally, is a native
Oregonian. He was born in
Portland and attended Gram
high school and Portland State

The Edie Adams Cut’n Curl
in the Gresham Mall is one of
nearly 200 such operations in

reported, adding that “because
of our extensive operation
throughout the United States
we are able to keep abreast o f

styling.”
An innovation that has
proved most popular at Edie
Adams Cut’n Curl is the Sugar
and Spice salon-actually a
salon within a salon. Sugar and
Spice is for teen-agers and
younger, where the approach is
geared to the desires and styles
of the younger set.
The latest addition to the
salon is a complete line o f
quality hair pieces that are
priced to follow the Edie
Adams slogan, “beauty on a
budget,” Hill said. The salon’s
beauticians have been specially
trained in fitting, styling an J
