But one of th« outstanding celebrations occurred at the horn« of the Amo Ritters Sunday, when the family held a reunion and cele brated the birthday of Mrs. Ritter’s mother, Mrs. J. R. Lunday. Th« 89th birthday, that isl There were 27 children, grandchildren and great-grand children in all, and w« hear they couldn’t get them all into the group picture which will commemorate the day. Mrs. Wayne French is mak ing a good recovery following surgery last week at Gresham General hospital. She is expect ed to return home soon. Sharon Gantenbeln attended th« Guernsey spring show earl ier this summer at Canby county fairgrounds, only one from th« Boring 4-H cattle club who went. She returned a 4-H Champion showman and also By won first place on th« animal' sh« entered. Congratulations, Sharon. 4-H camp at Colton was "just all right" according to those who returned after their ses sion last month. A visit to a Lion meeting or a Cham ber of Commerce meeting would have gone a lot farther in gain ing the support of the local people than a public insult! No one likes to be told they live in an "unhealthy atmos- phere," nor do they like to be told they live In the midst of ex-convicts and hoodlums! And they certainly take offense at having this type of description broadc ast all over the place! ess Th« said aspect of Lees' wrong-way approach, is that many hoodlanders have elected to overlook the main issue en tirely!
