POST Thur»., May 13, 1965 (Sec. 1) Amstad, Wade Exchange Rings , J Bridal Shower Miss Linda Dell Smith of Eagle Creek, was the guest of honor at a bridal shower, given for her at the home of Mrs. Robert Johnson of Bull Run. The hostesses were, Mrs. Min nie Frisco and her daughter, Mrs. Boyd Rowley of Sandy. Twenty - five friends and rel atives gathered there on the evening of May 5, and several games of bingo were played, Those winning prizes at bingo were: Mrs. Cleo Early, Mrs. Vivian Bell, Mrs. Matt Shields and Mrs. Donna Scheel. Winner of the special prize was Mrs. Iola Lee. The bri dal cakes were decorated by two of the hostesses. Miss Smith was assigned by Miss Wanda Hashagen in opening of the many beautiful and use ful gifts. Refreshments consis ted of cake, ice cream, punch and coffee. Ladies Receive Silver Pins Ì a. Helen Decker Is BPW Girl A double ring ceremony at Sandy Presbyterian Church on April 20 united Miss Anita Car- olyn Wade of Sandy and Carl E. Amstad of Boring In holy matrimony. Rev. Ed Neuenfeldt per formed the double ring cere- mony flanked by candelabra and baskets of white stock and blue chrysanthemums. Tom Lewis, high school coral teacher, was vocalist accompanied by Nancy Kitchen, organist. The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry G. Wade, High way 211, Sandy, attended Sandy high school. The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Amstad, Rt. 1, Box 221, Bor ing, also attended Sandy high and Is employed by Reynolds Alum inum. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white Piano Recital The piano students of Mrs. Ray Allen will be heard in re cital on Sunday, May 16, at 2:30 in the afternoon. Recital will be held at the Sanctuary of the Community Presbyterian Church. The awards were given In recognition of volunteer hours served at the hospital. Both ladies are members of the Carl Douglass American Legion Auxiliary. Mrs. Still has served 2629 hours altogether while Mrs. Hickman has served 2856 hours there. satin gown featuring a lace bo dice and sleeves trimmed with white sequins. Garden Club To Install Club Officers Newly elected club officers of the Estacada Garden Club will be installed in ceremonies scheduled for June. Installing the officers will be Mrs. Guy Keller, a member of the club and incoming president of Clackamas District 15. The bride, a graduate of Sandy high school, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Tourney, Rt. 1, Box 976, Sandy. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Dycus of May flower, Ark, are parents of the bridegroom. Jeanette Hull attended her sister and Russell Tourney, the bride’s brother was best man. A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents following the ceremony.
