BARTON NEWS
Mrs. Lon Allen
The Barton Extension Unit held
a Cancer Closet work shop Thurs
day, Nov. 7. About 8 women met
at the Barton school and made
pads, bed jackets, hospital type
gowns and other items that are
useful to persons who are con
fined to bed for a long period
of time.
These items will be kept in the
Barton area and will be available
to any family in the community who
needs them.
They are for any illness where
the patient is confined to bed for
a long while. They are not just
for cancer patients. There are foot
rests that would be useful for a
broken leg or arm.
If some family in the commun
ity has need of any of these items,
you can contact Mrs. Bill Ferrel
or any other members of the Ex
tension Unit.
