But it does to 23-year-old Larry Brooks of Rt. 2, Box 1470C, Sandy. Larry, first injured while alighting from an Orient school bus in 1946, returned to the hos pital for kidney surgery in 1956 and just last week had to un dergo surgery again at Gresh am General. Lasts For Years Both Larry and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brooks of Rt. 2, Box 692, Gresham, know that an accident often isn’t for the minute; it can last for years. Mrs. Brooks said Monday, “Every day, I see youngsters playing in the roads. We only hope that Larry’s experience will spur parents to teach their youngsters to be extra care ful, and to cause drivers to be a bit more cautious now that school is out.” Larry is recovering satisfac torily from his latest surgery and expects to be out within a week. However, he must take things easy for some time to come.
