JOHN OLDS MO 5 6929 BORING — Visitors and va cations are the main topics this month, it seems, and not June brides The Lester Irvins and Otis Riches spent a weekend at Moclips, Wash where they found clamming good. The Arno Ritters entertained Mr. and Mrs. Herb Fleiss of Lafayette. Calif., as house guests earlier this month. Mr. and Mrs. John Kaston went to Whittier. Calif., to visit a son. Donald Lund, his wife, and their son, Richard. They enjoyed cool weather, just right for travel, until they got to Las Vegas, where it was summer in the desert. While there, the Oregonians heard the McGuire sisters and enjoyed their performance. Mr. and Mrs. A L. Weeks had as guests their daughter, Mrs. Vernon Maulding of Nys sa. and grandchildren, Joan, Judy and Vernon, as well as Mr. and Mrs. Norman Baker. The visitors arrived Monday and left Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Otis Rich, Mick Byrd and the Jack Lilies of Es tacada fished at East lake, where the Byrdette Byrds join ed them for the weekend. Beavers Play While Leondale was at 4-H camp, Don and Mina Verdoorn and sons Larry and Ronnie went in to Portland to see the Beavers play. Their daughter stayed with the Earl Meiers. Bonney Shields, daughter of the Matt Shields, spent her first weekend after starting summer work at the Christian Science Monitor in Boston, seeing New York. It was easy to tell twins Curt and Ken Meier apart when they came home from 4-H camp last weekend. Curt tumbled from a fence at Camp Colton and have five stitches in his hand— so the bandage speeded identi fication. — 93 PINT 29 V < BORENE, Thrifty Size 85e Soap 65e CALGON Electric Dishwasher Detergent SANDY Main Street Open 'til 10 P.M.
