Olson celebrated their 38th wedding an niversary on Septem ber 23. In ¡honor of the occasion they made 'a trip to Yakima. Wash., to visit Mr. Olson's cousin. H enry Nel son and family, whom he hadn’t seen since 1906. ' T he Olsons met during the ¡1916 Rose festival in Portland and w ere m arried that sam e ¡year in Portland. Mr. Olson was born in Crooskton. Minnesota and Mrs. Olson is a native Port- i lander, w here she w as born in th e Lents district of th a t city. T he family lived in Portland 'u n til 1941 when at th at tim e they purchased a farm out on McCabe road, about six miles southw est of Sandy, w here they lived until about three years ago when they moved to Sandy. Mr. Olson is a carpenter by trade. T he Olsons have tw o sons. R ichard and Andrew, who are m arried and live in Portland.
