OLD FRIEND VISITS
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Maloy had
a pleasant surprise last week
when an old friend, Edna Ernst,
and her s is te r , came by for
a v isit. A s a young woman,
M rs. Ernst worked where Mil­
dred Paulman (Maloy) worked
before her m arriage, and at­
tended the Maloy wedding 58
years ago In San Diego. They
have kept In touch, but had
not seen each other In 30
years. Mrs. Ernst and her s i s ­
ter, both of LaMesa, C alif.,
have taken many vacations to­
gether and thought perhaps this
would be their last extensive
trip. The women, 80 and 81
years of age, were planning
to drive through Canada and
parts of the states for s e v .
eral months. The Maloys were
happy
that their
itinerary
brought
coast.

a week at McAuley Hospital
with a sev ere throat Infection.
She was released June 7 to
recuperate at home, but she
