activities are monitored by a
representative group of local
citizens known as the Area Coun
cil. The council, made up of
15 to 20 people, Including low
Income representatives, an
alyze the needs of the poor and
conditions of poverty In the low
area, and set priorities for
projects. Their last meeting was
held Wednesday, o c t. 20. This

spokesman for low Income peo
ple In the community. ______

hold goods making them avail
able to low-income fam ilies.
They are presently In need of
electric stoves, baby cribs, and
work shoes.
Volunteers of all ages are
needed In the local area to help
