Visit From New Mexico Mr and Mr» Fred Stack with daughter, Eileen, and »on» Fred dy, Andy and liabble of Artec, New Mexico, arrived In Port Or ford la»t Friday evening and have b e e n visiting old friends, the L lo y d Whites, Adolph Wind- maliert, Unda Bryant, Bob forty, Wayne Thomas and many others Fred was formerly the manager of the Coos-Curry Electric Co op and left here In 1950, due to clim atic asthma he s u f f e r e d here Mr Sleek was U r r c h l r l for several yean and Is an hon orary member and retired chief of the Pon Orford volunteer fire department. They were amaied at the many local changes and Impruvrments In the last dorrn yean. Fred was w illing and eager to answer a fire alarm while here, It turned out false. They plan to visit the Coquille office crew and offlcen of the Co-op and go on up to Sea Lion Caves before returning to Artec, New Mexico. Mrs. Stack Is em ployed as a city clerk at Artec, a city of about 5,000 population. Everyone enjoyed a good time and w e r e glad to have Elmer Woods and his wife out dancing with them again. Some of the Beachcombers danced w i t h the Ocean Spray Twlrlers on June 8th and others traveled down 101 and danced with the Rogues and Ruffles. Our regular d a n c e w ill be June 15th. The next practice night w ill be June 21 at the Cove. Let’s a ll try to be there.. Clean-up day at the Cove w ill be June 30th. It should be in top shape for our July 3-4th dances. Iridescent sequins out lined the sweetheart neckline of the bodice and an overakirt of tulle completed the bouffant skirt of net. Her elbow-length v e i l of illusion was edged in handmade lace and held in place with a tiara of matching lace. She carried a white Bible from w h ic h white orchids fell in a cascade and wore a pearl pend ant which was a wedding present from the groom. She was given in marriage by Dr.Carl C. Werth, at w h o s e home the has lived during the yean she ha* served southern Oregon coastal area as C h i l d Evangelism Fellowship Director. Mn. B, J, Trytko, Milwauke, the bride's sitter, was matron of honor. Mn. Ronald Manh, her sister-in-law from Portland, and Mn. Charles Lane, another sis ter, from Oregon City, were her attendants. They wore Identical frocks of pale yellow and their matching headdresses were of net attached to a c o r o n e t of satin. They carried nosegays of w h i t e carnations and yellow Dutch Iris. Denise Marsh, small niece of the bride, was the flow er girl. She were a costume of yellow. Alvord France, Mesa, Ariiona, was best man for his brother and the ushers w e r e the Rev. Bill Sparks, missionary In Guatemala, the Rev. Don Helter, Cloverdale, California, Ronald Manh, bro ther of the bride, and R J. T ry t ko, the bride's brother-in-law. The groom's mother wore a rote frock with bone colored ac cessories. When the newlyweds left for a wedding trip to Crater Lake, the bride was wearing a pink wool suit w ithw hite accessories and the conage from her bridal bouquet The new M n. France attended Cascade College and graduated f r o m Simpson Bible Institute, Seattle, after graduating from Canby High School. Her husband graduated from Lebanon H ig h S c h o o l and attended Oregon State College before attending and graduating from Multnomah School of the Bible, Portland, and Portland State College. The couple are making their home In Port Orford, where the Rev. France is pastor of the First Community Church.
