Each year, more than 400 individuals work as vendors with Street Roots. At any given time, throughout the city, approximately 80 vendors are at work, rain or shine. Vendors play an active role in the ■ With the money made selling the newspaper, vendors are able to secure basic needs, independence and dignity, and work toward obtaining housing.
