World class he international community gathered at Delta Park Saturday, July 22, to dance, sing and enjoy global arts and crafts as part of World Refugee Day. The event celebrated the cultures and contributions of refugees from around the world who now call Portland home. It included World Cup Soccer - a 30-team refugee and immigrant soccer tournament - and Bollywood dancing. Event-goers donated school supplies to be distributed to refugee students in Portland. Supporters included the Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization, CAIRO, Catholic Charities, SOAR, The Red Cross, The Iraqi Society of Oregon, Lutheran Community Services, Multnomah County and The Refugee Center Online.
