Tea Time

It was like a hangover
Or bad acid trip
My first crush as a youngster
You let out those skeletons
Out of your California closet
For tea once in a decade
You tell them that they all look
Nice and all, that you bid them well,
And you may go now.
The name is not important
Just her appearance
Then I had other crushes
None of them loved m e back though
The way I had dreamt
Was I expecting way too much?
Spent all that time chasing ghosts
I felt so unredeem ed
My beauty was corrupted
