Street Roots • June 10-16, 2016 Poetry Page 14 Ever Lasting Memories nomads dream by Leo Rhodes by j.mccurdy i am and always have been a restless soul I feel the stars pulling my hair just like the poem said I feel barely contained in the waves breaking against the shore the same way you feel the need to be enclosed in security.... I need to surf in the energy surrounding my soul with possibilities not remaining where it pools The love of two becoming one A night I’ll never forget One interest While the world goes by A night to remember The boardwalk is for lovers you can not court me with the skills you know... I have no use for pretty lil words filled with fantasies created by settled souls The night was mildly cold It didn’t matter We had each other People looked at us We didn’t care It was the first time we met But it felt like we had known each other for years Deeply we looked into each other’s eyes as we talked Then watched the people as they walked by Most smiled, others looked away All knew what was going on I am a nomad and therefore can not be contained by the ordinary i can no more resist the call to roam come play with me if you dare. then the settled can resist the call to stay but understand there cant be conditions attached to the energy we share or the ecstasy offered in the moment be aware of this feral doesn’t mean dangerous it means not domesticated there is a difference netiWe’s EAR WEDNESDAYS MERS’MARKET 2-7PM realize this and the difference could cost you your heart if your not careful i am a moment to moment not a decades in the making, girt so therefore CareOregon* goMobileteam IP TO $5 MATCH We're access healthy foot h< BT CARD imunity By shopping trs while OHP Navigation Clinics CareOregon and our partners make Oregon Health Plan navigation easy!
