The Butte Falls Scholarship Fund has been in
existence since 1965 where every year scholarships
have been given to qualifying Seniors of Butte Falls
High School to assist in their secondary
education .
Each of the members of the current committee have
been members for over a decade, some close to two
decades.
Each year we hold annual fund-raising
activities (The Fourth of July Hot Dog Booth and The
Silent Auction/Soup Luncheon at the Christmas
Bazaar) to raise funds for these Seniors.
The community and businesses have been a tremendous
support to this Fund year after year supporting us
to raise money for our Seniors and we are forever
grateful to you. A
With much thought and consideration, the committee
has decided to disband.
This was not decided
lightly.
Each member has consistently given their
time and hard work selflessly and voluntarily, and
gladly done so. In fact, we all love doing this for
our future leaders.
We have for some years tried to recruit new reliable
members, and as you know, in our busy lives, it is
hard find someone who can dedicate that kind of
time.
It is our goal to give scholarships for the next two
years but we will no longer be holding fundraising
events.
If you, as a nonprofit organization or
school related fundraising event are interested in
the Fourth of July Hot Dog booth, Silent Auction
and/or soup luncheon, please contact the Active
Club.
Again, this committee sincerely thanks the support
of this community and community businesses as well
as others for supporting this organization to
further the education of our high school Seniors,
and ask that you in return support us in this hard
decision.
