BUTTE FALLS CEMETERY UPDATE Memorial Day 2007 was the 'best ever'! I want to thank the following people who've worked so hard: John Tumey, Josh Sutfin, Sean Sinclair, Tony Carothers, Mayor Ron Ormond, Rick Carle (new entry sign) and students from the BF Elementary School who placed flowers on the headstones throughout the cemetery. The water has been turned on and the faucet is located at the 'green' building - bring your own containers. The water is on a meter system and if a large amount is used (thousands of gallons) that means someone is stealing the water and it will have to be turned back off. On June 4 th I met with the coordinator of the Historic Cemeteries Program. An inspection was completed per grant $$ we received ($545) in 2006. We passed with flying colors! Thanks to Mayor Ron Ormond I'm working on the BF Cemetery Office located at the Recycle Center. Thanks again to everyone! ZYXWVUTSRQPO I n a p p r e c ia tio n to th e B u tte F a lls C o m m u n ity S c h o o l P a r tn e r s h ip : Thank you to the Butte Falls Community School Partnership (B.F.C.S.P.) for all the fun and educational classes, camps and meetings that have provided so much positive interaction and opportunities for our town. These great events have included Nature Friday classes, community garden activities, Spring Break Day Camp, Parent Community Group meetings, Family Game Night, Family Dance Night, exercise classes, open gym, State Capitol trip, genealogy class, Talent Show and much more. We also want to recognize the donations given by B.F.C.S.P. to promising projects and classes in the Town of Butte Falls which have included funds given to the Preschool, the upcoming Sports Camp, and the upcoming Food Pantry. We also want to thank B.F.C.S.P. for providing fundraising for the high school students through dinners and trap shoot events for the student ambassadors program. We appreciate all of the donations and fundraising given by the B.F.C.S.P. A l l of these events, fundraising and donations given by the Community School has provided outstanding opportunities for the town, which otherwise would have not been offered or provided. All of these great opportunities get the community members, students, volunteers, and school staff involved in partnering together to make our town a better place. Thank you to B.F.C.S.P board members, Bret McGonagle, Lisa Carothers, Cindy Wright, Dan Murphy, Shayna Dortch, Joe Dortch, and Linda Azevedo. Also thank you to Director Janelie Scofield, and Coordinator Danielle Cozad. Keep up the good work! We are excited to see all the awesome classes and camps you have planned for the summer! Thank you!
