THE BUTTE FALLS VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT WISHES A SAFE, HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON TO EVERYONE!!!! Don't forget Santa is making a list and checking it twice! And, you should too...m ake a safety list that is. Is your home ready for the holidays? “ Johnny Law ” Report It's sad but true. There m ay actually be a thief som ew here in the Butte Falls area. Som ebody has stolen som e construction m aterials and I w ould like to give you the opportunity to help m e figure out "w ho done it." This m ay not be as exciting as solving the crim es show n on "Am erica's M ost W anted" television show . However, if you happen to see som eone w ith a recently acquired reddish-orange step ladder bearing the initials "D W T," you probably have seen a thief. If you happen to see som eone w ith recently acquired bundles of #9076 Evergreen Blend C ertainTeed XT30 roofing shingles, you m ay have seen a thief. If you have seen som eone w ith a new stack of 2X6 lum ber of 8', 10' and 12' lengths w ith the date "CHI 10-07-02" stam ped on each piece, you m ay have seen a thief. If so, it w ould be great if □ som ehow you could let m e know about it. You can rem ain anonym ous if you w ish by leaving J Make sure your chimney is clean, safe ✓ v J J J ■/ and ready for Santa. Double check electrical outlets and cords. Never leave Christmas tree lights on and unattended. Don't place Christmas tree close to anything with an open flame or hot like fireplaces, wood stoves, heating vents, candles or space heaters. Keep it watered to extend tree freshness. Double check fire alarm batteries and fire extinguishers. Review home safety & evacuation plan with fam ily members. Leave cookies and m ilk for Santa (and Fire Chief Martin, tool). Yes, they are returning again this year for everyones enjoym ent. There w ill be m any things to do, like buying raffle tickets for our various prizes, one being a beautiful handm ade quilt. There w ill also be decorated C hristm as trees for a silent bid and C lose Up w ill have their w reaths for sale. This year w e w ill be setting up a craft table so the children can m ake C hristm as ornam ents.
