For the folks in Town that have not yet met
me, I am the School Resource Officer for both
the High School and Elementary School. I
would like to give you a little background
history of me. Prior to becoming the School
Resource Officer in Butte Falls, I was em ­
ployed with the Medford School District as
Campus Security. I have worked at both North
and South Medford High Schools since
December 1991.1 was also a Reserve Officer
for the City of Jacksonville since 1997. i
recently graduated from the DPSST Police
Academy in August of 2001. If there is any ­
thing I can do or any questions I can answer, I
can be found at either of the schools or the
Police Department.

A big thank you from our squad to Rick
and Sandy, Butte Falls Cafe, and to the BF
Fire Department for the fund raiser. Once
again, great food and a fun time! It got us
a little closer to our goal for the member ­
ship drive.
There have been many citizens that have
donated money for the 2002 Membership.
Thank you, again! Remember, this $5000
per year helps pay the ambulance bills of
the people in our school district boundary
(that’s our ambulance service area). If you
don ’t have insurance, you pay 1/2 the bill.

There have been several questions re ­

garding the Chief of Police position, and who
will fill it. All I can say for sure is, the job has
been posted and we will have more infor ­
mation in a month orlwo.
There has also been concern regarding the
new curfew ordinance. This has not been
enacted yet. It has only been posted for thirty
(30) days, until the next regular council
meeting in November. Which at that time, the
council wilj. decide if it is to be a new Town
Ordinance.?
