& « IM This is in place of “The Fishing Line” for this month. Rene asked that we print it since she thought it was appropiate for the circumstances at this time. If I Knew If I knew it would be the last time that I’d see you fall asleep, I would tuck you in tighter and pray the Lord, your soul to keep. If I knew it would be the last time that I’d see you walking down the hall, I would give you a hug and a kiss and call you back for one more. If I knew it would be the last time I’d hear your voice and see your smile, I would video tape each action and word so I could play them back day after day. If I knew it would be the last time I could spare an extra minute or two, to stop and say “I love you” or “hi” instead of assuming you know I do. If I knew it would be the last time I would be there to share your day, well, I’m sure you’ll have so many more, so I can just let this one slip away. For sure there’s always tomorrow to make up for an oversight and we always get a second chance to make everything right. •’ I u < W a w SRQPONMLKJIHGFEDCBA K » & w m s IM © ? t a i There will always be another day to say “I love you’s” and certainly there’s another chance to say our “Anything I can do’s”? But just in case I might be wrong and today is all you or I get, I’d like to say how much I love you and I hope we never forget. Tomorrow is not promised to anyone young and old alike, and today may be the last chance you get to hold your loved one tight. So, if you’re waiting for tomorrow why not do it today? For if tomorrow never comes you’ll surely regret the day that you didn’t take extra time for a smile, a hug, or a kiss. And you were too busy to grant someone what turned out to be the last wish. So, always hold them dear, take time to say “I’m sorry”, “please forgive me”, and “thank you” or “I love you”. And, if tomorrow never comes... you’ll have no regrets about today. -A u th o r RQPONMLKJIHGFEDCBA • — .9* / t A h in k J a k e h a s b e e n h u n tin g to o m u ch ... c a u s e h is d o g “ A c e ” is fe e lin g n e g le c ted . Riley was over the other night and when I walked out to the shop I noticed “Ace” Jakes dog laying in the back of his truck. I also noticed that when Riley started up his truck and headed out the driveway “Ace” was still there. It was dark out and Riley hadn’t caught on. I called Riley on his cell phone and told him that he might want to come back and leave the dog. So, the next day, Dave Curphey comes out at 4:00 in the morning to get some work stuff, drives into Butte Falls, parks at the Hailicka office to put the tailgate up. Guess who’s in the back of the truck, “Ace.” After he gives U nknow n- Dave a big lick across the face, they tie “Ace” up on a rope to get picked up later. Well, guess who woke Tsen Freeman up that .. After a while he thought Tsen needed waking up and gave him a big lick across the face to nudge him along. 1 a .a Y ep, I th in k Ja ke ’s b e e n h u n tin g to o m u ch !
