A group of caring parents and teachers are concerned with the playground at Butte Falls Elementary and decided it was time to do something about it. The c u rre n t o n e is b rin g in g u p safety con cerns and has become very o u td a te d . We have s ta rte d some fundraisers including a mens softball tournament that raised one thousand dollars. We are planning another one June 9th and 10th. We a re lo o k in g for people that would be interested in helping in the c o n c e s s io n s ta n d or wherever needed. So far we have had d TSRQPONMLKJIHGFEDCBA o n a tio n s given fro m S o u th e rn O re g o n S a n ita tio n a n d th e E a rl F a m ily F o u n d a tio n w h ic h h a s g iv e n u s a g o o d s ta rt. But, we still have Twenty-five thousand dollars to go. Any donation will help us reach our goals and get our kids a new, safe play area. Some of the people that have put time into our project other than the ones on our c o m m itte e are: Mite Rodgers, Eric E llis , B e c k y Moore, V e n n ia Stephenson, and Linda Rodgers. We are always lo o k in g for people with lots energy to help out! We are working on the first phase and have received over ten thousand dollars thus far. Anything you can do to h e lp would be a p p re c ia te d greatly! We can ’t do it without y o u ... This will be a great improvement for the children of our town. It is nice to know that they have a safe place to play. The great thing is it could keep them very well entertained for hours on end.
