I couldn ’ t believe how m any young people show ed up. The com m unity center w as packed. Thanks to the A ctive C lub for putting on such a great program . I have been hearing about under age drinking. This has got to stop! A nyone under the age of 21 w ho drives a vehicle and has any am ount of alcohol in their blood is subject to the DUID law s. This m eans you can lose your license for one year, a $3000.00 fine and you m ust com plete an alcohol treatm ent program w hich costs around $000.00. N ot only that, your insurance rate w ill go sky people die due to drinking and high. That ’ s if you don ’ t hurt or kill som eone. If you kill som eone the penalties can be as high as 5 driving. Please, if you m ust drink, years in jail and a $10,000 fine. don ’t drive and if you m ust drive, T hink about w hat you are doing don ’ t drink. O fficer Teresi and m y self are available for anyone w ho needs a ride hom e w ithin the B u te Falls com m unity. (N ot just w ithin the cattle guard). before it ’ s too late. Tragically each year thousands of M elvin W . R ay C hief of P olice W e have had a couple of instances w here trash has been spread all © ver the tow n. This is your tow n and you should re spect how clean it is kept. A ny one w ho is caught w ill be cited for littering. The fine is $1100.00 for $ the first offense. I '/ } 0 W e are so happy that Santa Night was a success. O f course, we couldn ’t have done it without all of the volunteers that helped m ake it happen. First and for m ost... thank you to the people that donated m oney. You m ade it possible to have such a wonderful night. The dinner I hear was a huge success. W e also want to thank our helpers.... Lori Biando, Leanna Cool, Ed and Donna Arnold, Patti Shafer, M arilyn Colem an, Terry Schultz, Roni Burg, Sherrie Ellis, Dale Norling, Dale Thom pson, Don Ham ann, Lawrence Hunsaker, Kyrstal Hoppes, Jocelyn Burg, Pastor John Adam s, M arsha Stewart and the High School Choir, the Cheerleaders and Kim Boyd, Joyce Brown for the use of the Grade School kitchen, all the m en that helped m ove the piano (extra thanks for saving the day), and of course Santa Clause... it wouldn ’t have been the sam e without you.... Great job! If I ’ve left anyone out please forgive m e. W e want to give thanks to the people of Butte Falls for having such warm and open hearts this season and through out the year. You are wonderful! M ay you and your fam ily be healthy and happy this com ing year. (A note from Cory .... I would like everyone to know that Lori Paxton did a wonderful job at organizing this whole thing... it was a lot of work and she did not let one thing get forgotten. W hen you see her please tell her how m uch you enjoyed it. If you didn ’t, then keep your com ments to yourself. Just kidding, of course.) She did a great job!
