The youth center is a great place for our kids to
go have fan, stay out of trouble and stay off of the
streets. W e have som e w onderful people w orking
and volunteering their tim e for our children.
U nfortunately, it costs m ore m oney than people
realize to operate. It costs betw een $1200 and
$1400 a m onth just to stay open. This includes
w ages, rent, utilities and supplies. The center
receives grant m oney from the E arl Foundation
and other generous people for its operations, but
w e are struggling each m onth to stay open.
If you w ould like to invest in a child ’s w ell-being,
please donate som e of your tim e or m oney and
help us help the children. D onations m y be m ade
to the Tow n of Butte Falls- P O B ox 268.
The B utte Falls Lioness C lub m eets the first

H all. W e are a service club and volunteer our
services at the sight and hearing center each

funds to the Lions E ye B ank of O regon, D ogs for
the D eaf, S chool for the B lind and D eaf, The
D iabetes Fund, Lions Y outh O utreach, and Butte
Falls S cholarship. W e furnish baskets for the
needy at Thanksgiving and C hristm as and do the
candy sacks for S anta at the C hristm as concert.
The club also sponsors the E aster Egg Hunt
each year. W orking w ith the students in their fund
raising is another positive w ay that w e help.
